Aqua-dapter UKPosted on 25th Feb 2011 @ 6:56 PM
I've been using my aqua dapter for 5 months. I started off with the MK1 and i was impressed. If you currently use a tap or trigger on you pole, you will have a loop of hose trailing around, but with the AD you loose the loop which is great. Its also a lot easier than picking up a tap off the floor to turn you flow off. Another benefit is that you can turn the flow off quickly and easily when cleaning upstairs windows so that you can give the cill a wipe with your brush so that the water doesn't keep dripping on the windows below making it easier and quicker to clean the downstairs windows.
After a couple of months the thread came loose and it stopped turning on and off properly which was a shame as it is a great piece of kit, but Paul at AD was very helpful and kindly replaced my MK1's with the new MK2's. There is a big improvement with the MK2. There are now 2 rivets holding the thread on which eliminates the problem i had with it coming loose, and the mechanism that turns the water on and off has been improved so that there are now no problems with the issues that i had with the MK1 turning on and off.
The AD has a spring inside which allows the trigger to recoil, but this is the weak point, me and my brother us the AD and with in a day of each other our springs broke, so they must only have a certain number of pulls before they fail, but the AD does come supplied with a couple of spare springs so i was able to replace it and carry on working.
So in summary the AD:-
Saves water
Eliminates having a loop in you hose if you currently have a tap or trigger on you pole
Is quick and easy to operate
I couldn't imagine being without one.
